Overjoyed to have spent the summer in Memphis, Tennessee to be playing a lead role of Sabrina in an upcoming sequel feature film Time Boys 2! (Currently in post production)
Melody Portnoy is an actor, singer, and self proclaimed Beatles enthusiast. Growing up, she spent more nights sleeping in a tour bus bunk than an actual bed! Being raised by two musicians means growing up on the road and gaining a love for music as well as performing at a very young age. Melody took private vocal lessons and competed in vocal competitions since the age of 7.
After high school, Melody discovered her love for musical theatre. She packed up her life in the small town of Coopersburg, PA and moved to NYC to attend the New York Film Academy for Musical Theatre and Film/TV Acting (PCMT 2018 graduate). During her time at NYFA, Melody performed as Annabella in their MainStage production of NINE (Directed by Travis Greisler, Choreographed by Deidre Goodwin), Young Jane in Express: A New Musical, and Lucy in the original movie musical Kaya: A Taste of Paradise. Since graduating, Melody has made her 54 Below debut, Off- Broadway debut at the Triad Theatre, recorded the original demos of Psykidz by Bobby Cronin as Magnolia, and participated in numerous readings of developmental new musicals. She has also performed as Olive Ostrovsky in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Katherine Plumber in Disney's Newsies, Catherine in Pippin, Hermia in A Midsummer Nights Dream, and others!
She is also trained in on screen acting. She has modeled and acted in an international Shopify campaign as well as wrapped an upcoming indie feature film where she starred as one of the leading roles. Next up she will star as a recurring supporting role on a popular youtube children's series with 1.4 M followers. Followed by living out her zombie slaying dreams in an upcoming horror feature film.
Melody is signed to The Talent Express Management.
Melody currently lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn with her childhood best friend and Mildred the cat.
